Calendar resources availability in Thunderbird/ActiveSync

Post by maxxer »

Simple question: is it possible to share calendar resources to Thunderbird (CalDAV) or via ActiveSync (z-push)?

I'd like to be able to define appointment resources in Zimbra and create events in TB with those resources.
thanks

Hi,

Yes, you can acess it in Thunderbird via both protocols:

My issue is not being able to access the calendar, but calendar's resources! That is, in zimbra I can add as resource a location or a resource. Can I have them available in Thunderbird?

While discussing on IRC we noticed that resources are special accounts, which means if I sync contacts I should be able to invite those resources in events. While the appearance will be different from ZWC, that should work. I need to do some tests...

theoretically works, but we didn't go further on this solution because the customer didn't want anymore
