can't send messages in imap on android

Post by kyiu »

I've been having this issue for a long time....
I'm hosting two domains with my zimbra 8.8.15. Both domains are working fine on the web client interface. I can send and receive emails just fine. How ever...in the mobile client (with android imap) I have problem sending emails. Both domains are able to sync with the server, how ever...only the default domain can send emails from the app. The 2nd domain always fails to authenticate on the outgoing server. I used the identical account setting for both domains. The 2nd domain always fails on the outgoing settings. Any has any ideas why?

To begin to help, we really need:

- Your Zimbra version
- Unadulterated snippets from /var/log/zimbra.log showing the auth failure. (Search for like "saslauthd")

Thanks for the reply....
I just want reiterate, I'm hosting emails for domain1 & domain2. Domain1 is working just fine for both send and receive on Android. It's domain2 can't send emails. I don't want to break the smtp server and ended up have both domains not able to send emails. What can I do to backup the configuration so that I can rollback to changes?

Hi,

If your one domain is working fine and other is not and both are on same MTA server.

Then you can compare the domains attribute to find the difference.

zmprov -l gd working_domain.com
zmprov -l gd non_workingdomain.com

Or send here to check
