Outlook 2013 MAPI lsmssp.dll error in Windows 10

Post by Treymen »

I recently updated my computer from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Everything seemed to work fine except when I went to open my outlook I received the message "MAPI was unable to load the information service LSMSSP.DLL" I am using the Zimbra connector for outlook and I am told that it is not a global issue because it has worked for others. I am able to open an use a non-zimbra email account however my main account is through Zimbra and I need to use it.
I have literally tried everything I can think of and everything I have seen online regarding the subject. Here is a list of everything I've done:
- Deleted the profile and added it back
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Zimbra Connector (along with registry entries)
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook
- Ran outlook in safe mode
- Repaired Outlook
- Repaired the Zimbra Connector
- Answers from this thread
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/offi ... 91e3e00e41
- Made another email account and data file the default (outlook opens but won't let me access the zimbra account)
- Moved the zimbra files from a working windows 7 machine to the same file locations (C:Program FilesCommon FilesSystemMSMAPI1033 & C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesSystemMSMAPI1033) The MSMAPI folder didn't even exist here.
- Moved the zimbra files also to C:Program FilesMicrosoft Office 15
ootvfsProgramFilesCommonX86SystemMSMAPI1033
- Renamed the lsmssp32.dll to lsmssp.dll and copied it to the same file locations
- Deleted the MSMAPI32.dll files form each location

I'm sure I've done more and I simply don't remember at the moment but any help anyone could give would be appreciated. Thank you!

Outlook 2013 MAPI lsmssp.dll error in Windows 10

Hi Treymen,
We are covered the issue in the next Topic, please come there to keep in the loop, and try the new version of the Zimbra Connector. Are you using Office 2013 32bit or 64bit? What is your exact Windows 10 version?
