Inviting additional members sends invites to everyone

Every time I add a new member to a calendar invite or remove or change them to optional, everyone on the invite receives an email. I've been emailed by folks that it is spamming their inbox. Is there an option where only team members affected by the change get notified (similar to how it works in gmail)?

We have the same issue under ZCS 8.8 latest patch.
