Hanging on "Loading Profile"

Sounds very much like a problem we're having:
Bug 55507 – Outlook crashes when using ZCO with shared address book
So far Zimbra have not come up with any solution.

I just voted on this bug. How do we elevate the severity? Do we need to get more people to vote on this bug? This has been causing a lot of frustration among my users.

[/QUOTE]If you look at the bug report you'll see it has a Target Milestone, you can check in the Product Portal to see when it will be released.

We have the same "big" problem... I can't deploy Office 2010 to users pc until this bug is solved.

I tried with both OEM and Open License Office 2010, same problem.

Everything works well until I add a shared address book to Outlook address book.

Hope Zimbra will solve this soon...

If you're running windows search, can you try do exclude .zdb files from indexing via indexing options?

Windows Search is not installed on those machines. That's the first thing I remove on a brand new pc.

So balocco -- I need more specifics on your problem. Does it crash, does it hang? If you enable zco logging, do log files get generated? If not, did you generate a core dump? [There's a link to that in an earlier post in this thread]. Does it happen on every machine or just a few, and is it only an Outlook 2010 issue?

Why should we have to exclude the .zdb from indexing? Isn't that what allows instant search within Outlook?

You don't have to do anything, but Windows Search doesn't play especially well with ZCO. It also hurts our performance by around 6% or so. You might see fewer problems if you do that.
