ZCO synchronisation principles

Hi folks,
I have no problem, I just wonder if I can find some info/documentation on how ZCO synchronisation works.
I would love to understand how items are selected for sync both way, detected as new / removed / moved etc etc etc.

If something changes on the server, its replicated to the client. If something changes on the client, its replicated to the server. If the same item is modified on both client & server, its a conflict and it uses its internal heuristics to automatically resolve the conflict, notifying the user of the conflict.
