Windows 10 and Outlook 2013 - LSMSSP.dll issue

Post by ICTE-LM »

Good day everyone
I have a client that has upgraded his Dell Inspiron to Windows 10 Pro and since then his Outlook 2013 cannot opened and returns the following error window:

"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open window. The set of folders cannot be opened. An unexpected error has occurred. MAPI was unable to load the information service LSMSSP.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured."

I have already tried the following and still get the same error:
 - Followed this post step by step https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/King0770-Notes-ZCO-Repair
 - Uninstalled Zimbra connector, removed all zimbra profiles, deleted zdb files and re-installed Zimbra connector
 - I have tried the EAS option, but outlook just downloads the folders and no mails at all.

 Laptop specs:
 - Intel Core i7 2.4GHz
 - 8GB RAM
 - Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-Bit
 - Outlook 2013 32-Bit
 - Zimbra Connector 7.2.7 (Zimbra Collaboration Suite)

Hope someone out there can seriously help me.

Hi ICTE-LM,
If you have troubles with Zimbra Connector and Windows 10, you should open a Support Case where our Engineers can help you better than me. But my advice can be, if you just upgrade to Windows 10, did you install again Microsoft Office? And the Zimbra Connector?

You can also try this new Zimbra Connectors that I’ve uploaded for you, depends of your OS and your Office version, 32bit or 64bits – https://www.dropbox.com/sh/geee0ncw09b4 ... sxCua?dl=0
Be sure you have a Backup of your PST (ZDB) files before install, or reinstall Office or the ZCO.
Let us know.

I am having the same issue. I uninstalled Office 365 (office 2013) and the zco. Reinstalled Office 365, installed your dropbox version of the zco and now receive an error that Microsoft Office as stopped working when trying to open the newly created Zimbra profile. I am using a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and the old connector worked fine up until the upgrade to Windows 10.

Hi,

This is better news, let me check with Office 2013 32 bit. As with 64 bits I don't have any issue at all.

Please let us know the Support Case numbers, in case you already opened a Case, to keep tracked all of them.

Jorge - you are brilliant.

I went to the client this afternoon and removed office, installed Office 2013 64 bit and used the Connector you provided and all is working perfectly.

Definitely a 32-Bit version issue. Installed the Office 64 bit version and it works like a charm!! Thanks for an answer that works for me...
