I have a user with a ZDB file over 50 GB. When I move some of his mail to an archive, and try to compress the ZDB file it only compresses the GAL. Any ideas as to why?
Also, has anyone had any luck allowing a PST to go over 50GB? I tried these registry settings in the attached screenshot but I'm not sure they are correct.

Re: 50GB ZDB File
The 50GB limit is not a limit of the ZDB file but a limit of Outlook. A ZDB file is essentially a pst file. I've actually renamed ZDB to PST and it will open with similar versions of Outlook without ZCO installed.
Given that it is a limitation of Outlook a couple of workarounds.
1. Set the profile to download headers only. This is in the ZCO settings. Not great...works similar to ActiveSync on a mobile device where it doesn't download the whole message until it is opened.
2. Set a limit to the amount of mail downloaded. I believe this feature now exists in the latest version of ZCO.
3. Expensive but still an option. Stand up a mail archiving system that is accessible and searchable.
Hope that helps some.
