Unable to sync calendar events to Huawei phone (works fine with Samsung)

Hi,
I receive an error (e.g. with DavDroid) when trying to sync event series (which I was invited to by other people) in my calendar to my Huawei P20 Pro phone. The problem isn't DavDroid-specific, as nothing at all from the calendar affected gets synced using CardDAV-Sync. Interestingly, no such problems occur on a Samsung Galaxy phone.
I'm assuming it must have to do with the way such event series are stored within Zimbra.
