Zimbra Mail resending large messages

I urgently need a solution to the following error: I created an email with several JPG files attached and sent it to a number of people. The "sent" folder shows these as sent but they are resent every time I try to re-start Zimbra Desktop. They are not arriving at the other end (thankfully). I suspect it is because somewhere downstream the file size is too big, but I cannot find a way of stopping them being re-sent. I will have to abandon using Zimbra if I do not find a solution. I am using Zimbra Desktop 7.2.1 GA (build 11637).
