Installation Issue of Zimbra Desktop 7.3.1 x64 on Kubuntu Desktop 18.04/20.04 LTS x64
Installation Issue of Zimbra Desktop 7.3.1 x64 on Kubuntu Desktop 18.04/20.04 LTS x64
I have a new 64-bit Kubuntu Desktop 18.04/20.04 LTS and try to install a 64-bit Zimbra Desktop 7.3.1 GA. However, it prompts that it requires a 64-bit Java SE runtime. How can I resolve it?

Hi Peter,
How can a release be a mix of 18.04 and 20.04 LTS installed, it is either one or the other.
As I know 20.04 is not fully compatible with Zimbra but possibly it can work; in case you are on 18.04 then you have 2 choices, either search in the software library for 64-bit Java SE and install it, or go to java.com and search for the Ubuntu desktop version or linux one.

Hi Rony
There is a clean installed Kubuntu 18.04 with the pre-installed JAVA package. Please find the attached screenshot for your information.

I don't know if you realise this but ZD has been discontinued, my suggestion would be to find another desktop client.
