For a brief moment ...

Post by BradC »

It looked like Zimbra desktop was back!

https://blog.zimbra.com/2022/11/introdu ... exclusive/

However, it's Win/Mac only and NE only (restricted to support portal for download).

Oh well.

Oh well.
You sure about restrictions?
There is a download link ( https://www.zimbra.com/downloads/zimbra-desktop/ ) at the public download site... I could download it without logging in or something...
But I have to admit I tested it against an 9.00 NE Zimbra... works like a charm!

>Zimbra Desktop is available via the Support Portal only.
Nope, it's publicly available on https://www.zimbra.com/downloads/zimbra-desktop/

>Zimbra Desktop app is supported on Windows 10 or newer versions and Mac 10.13 or newer versions.
Nope, Win7 works perfectly

>Zimbra Desktop works only with Network Edition 9.0 and higher.
Nope, we tested it against a 8.8.15

Just tested, and like the predecessor is just the modern app running on a browser embedded in a windows app.
You can have all the lacks of the modern app (no drag&drop on calendar, no icons on rightclick menus, confusionary relocated buttons, translation issues...).
But offline mode works well, I have to say.
