Updated to Mac OSX 10.10 and desktop stopped working... Looks like the Java was not comparable. Update JRE to Java 8 05.pkg still getting errors that Java not installed. Has anyone installed and/or running on OS X 10.10?

ZD requires java version "1.6.0_65" See apple download.

JRE 8 is installed by default only for browsers, not for client... execute the following commands on the terminal to correct the issue:
sudo mv /usr/bin/java /usr/bin/java.old

sudo ln -ns /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java /usr/bin/java

Tried this still get the run time error

I would like to know if you managed to solve this because I encountered same issue and had installed latest jre.
