v.8.8.11 patch 2: Calenders items one hour behind for some items via Active sync

Post by Erik-NA »

Just installed patch 2 for Zimbra 8.8.11
Some Calenders items on Android Samsung Phone (Active sync) is now one hour behind. In the web gui and in Outlook (via ZCO) they are correct.

Have not yet found why only some items are affected.

Anybody else having this problem?

The support says it is a bug and it was forwarded to the development team.

Hi,

It's possible to know when will be fixed? It's a big problem for my company.

Antonio.

Interesting. We have the same problem since 10 days, but we have Zimbra 8.8.10_GA_3745 (build 20181221070313). Maybe it is a problem with an update of the Samsung calendar software?

no it is not only on Samsung. We have the same issue on a Sony and with Android Studio emulator. On a Motorola with LineageOS we have no problems.
we are using caldav (caldav free sync beta) as a workaround.

Unfortunately, I do not know when it will be fixed.

We have the same issue on all our android devices, several manufacturers and android versions from 8.0, 8.1 to 9.0, with Google Calendar App and Samsung Calendar.

Is there no solution after 7 weeks ?

As was mentioned earlier, this is a "bug" as reported by Zimbra Support and it's been passed to the developers. You're actually wastin g your time asking here as Zimbra do not generally comment on the status of bugs in these forums. If this problem bothers you then raise a support case and get some feedback from them.

Installing Patch 3 solves the problem.

Mobile:
Fixed appointment syncing between android devices and Zimbra account which previously shifted by 1 hour
It's confusing for a Zimbra newbie that the admin webinterface shows "no updates available" while there are patches that have to be installed manually. Now i know ...
