ZCS Backup best practice

Good day!
Have you any recommendations or scripts for ZCS backup and copy backup to external device?
I'm confused, can i use 'zxbackup doExport domain' for full backup of our ZCS server or i need to stop any process, then copy '/opt/zimbra/backup' folder to external device?
Сould you please share links where i can read about incremental backup with rsync?
