Autodiscover not authenticating

I have installed the trial version of Zimbra Mobile Plus and I have setup the autodiscover feature following this wiki:

when setting up an iphone with autodiscover, I get a "cannot get email" error. I noticed that autodiscover fills the user field with "". Not sure how the system treats the authentication as my Zimbra authenticates with "user" and no "". I have been trying to reopen the exchange settings in the phone and edit the user manually but still does not authenticate.

If I remove the dns record for autodiscover and use the manual ActiveSync settings in the setup, then all works fine

Where should I look to esit on the server side the autodiscover settings? Which log files does Mobile Plus uses ? How to troubleshoot

I will pass this to the Engineers, so they can help us more with this issue.

It's really weird that with AutoDiscover doesn't work, it's just a DNS change.

I am thinking to give up on mobile plus, the autodiscovery authentication does not work for me

When setting up a new phone it does not authenticate ... it only works for phones that have been already registered with autodiscovery off

it's not clear if it can authenticate using the username without the ... any feedback or checks on how auth process behaves?
