Hey there, great to see updates and bugfixes. Question though, with so many bugs stomped, why a patch release, why not a proper release - 8.6.1? I only run a couple of small servers but if I was running anything bigger I wouldn't look forward to such large patches and pictures of band-aids, for mission critical servers..

during installation I get:

/opt/zimbra/lib/ext/zimbraews/zimbraews.jar...chmod: cannot access ‘/opt/zimbra/lib/ext/zimbraews/zimbraews.jar’: No such file or directory

/opt/zimbra/lib/ext/zimbraews/ does not exist.

Is this ok?

After update I have:

zmcontrol -v

Release 8.6.0_GA_1153.RHEL7_64_20141215151110 RHEL7_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.6.0_P1.

But in web gui:

Zimbra Version: 8.6.0_GA_1160.NETWORK

Hi, in Full Release notes it tells you anything about this, take a look:

"Note: For users who have the web-client open and are running the FOSS edition, the refresh notice

might state that you have changed to the NETWORK Edition; however your feature set will remain

FOSS only."

Unbelievable - you're *STILL* supplying a _program_ to replace _individual_ files, thus *breaking* package management consistency!

Why dont you just supply updated packages (.deb/.rpm) ?!

Looks you really wanna make operating unnecessarily complicated.

Really silly and unprofessional !

Hi

while FOSS version is installed

$ zmcontrol -v

Release 8.6.0.GA.1153.UBUNTU12.64 UBUNTU12_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.6.0_P1.

$

Is it normal that admin console shows 8.6.0_GA_1162.NETWORK?

Cheers

hmm, looks like it replaced the wrong files ...

such things happen, if one doesnt use a proper package management.

(well, I'm telling this for many years now ... ;-o)

by the way: did you run into any restrictions (eg. cant create any new users due to lack of license activations) ?
