Hello,
We're testing our new installation of zimbra 7 on 2 servers :
1. mta + proxy server
2. mailbox + ldap server
Everything is working fine, including smtp, imap, imaps, pop3, pop3s and web access with both http and
The">https.
The only thing NOT working correctly is when we try to use Zimbra Desktop ( tried both 2.0.1 and the beta 2 of desktop 7 ). The client sets up correctly ( either http or https, does not matter ) and at the beginning it works just fine.
The problem is when the client is left running for about 5 minutes, then it displays the account as unavailable and in the nginx log we got this :
2011/03/23 12:18:05 [error] 10677#0: *39 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: xx.xx.xx.xxx, server: , request: "POST /service/soap/WaitSetRequest HTTP/1.1", upstream: http://xx.xx.xx.xx:80/service/soap/WaitSetRequest", host: "proxy.domain.com"
Everything else is working fine and we tried the above on another server that has the proxy + mailbox on the same server and we still got the same problem, so it's not about connectivity or configuration issues between the two servers mentioned above.
Did anyone else encounter this and if so, how did you solve it ?

Hello,
We have a similar setup with ZCS 7:
server 1: mailbox master ldap
server 2: mta, proxy, ldap replica
We have the same issue with ZD 7 generating those logs in nginx.
However the connection through the proxy works most of the times, but from time to time it will popup an error message in ZD
Did you manage to sort it out ?

Nope. We decided to open the mailbox for any clients that are going to use zimbra desktop client as a better solution.
Note that we're still on Zimbra 7.0.1, haven't upgraded to 7.1.
