Hello,
For some reason my backups are no longer cycling out and the backup partition is 100% full. I'm searching for the forum for information on how to clear some of the backups and also prevent Zimbra from filling to 100% but so far I haven't found anything.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

As you've given no information about your Zimbra version, which 'backups' would these be?

It was slightly out of date... 6.0.10 instead of 6.0.8
Release 6.0.10_GA_2692.RHEL5_64_20101215161355 CentOS5_64 NETWORK edition.
The backups are the normal full and incremental backups. If there are other backups I'm not sure where they go.
We're looking at upgrading to 7 latest on Tuesday but first we need to make sure the backups are working normally....

I believe there was an issue where the crontab for zimbra was forgetting to add the line which removes backups older than 30 days (the default).
Make sure your crontab has the following 3 lines in it:
# Backups
#
# BACKUP BEGIN
0 1 * * 6 /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -f -a all
0 1 * * 0-5 /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -i
0 0 * * * /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -del 1m
# BACKUP END
Make sure your crontab has the following 3 lines in it:
# Backups
#
# BACKUP BEGIN
0 1 * * 6 /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -f -a all
0 1 * * 0-5 /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -i
0 0 * * * /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -del 1m
# BACKUP END
/backup 100% Full
Also check the tmp folder for old backups that did not complete. Its usually safe to delete those in the tmp folder if you have good verified backups.

What's with the forum spam?
Anyway, thanks for the tips. I ended up manually deleting some and have since upgraded to 7.1.1
We'll see how that plays out. The cron looks like it's complete:
0 1 * * 6 /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -f -a all
0 1 * * 0-5 /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -i
0 0 * * * /opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -del 1m
I guess only time will tell!
Again thanks!
