Max Mail Box Size for Outlook

Hi,
Recently I have upgraded Zimbra to 4.0.1 version.
I am sure that I can give unlimited quota size to a user account.
Now my question is, if I want to use the Outlook connector, is there any limit in grabbing emails from the web client?

I'm not sure if your question is about the size of the local PST (or Zimbra equivalent) file. If it is, there's curretnly a 2GB limit.

in 4.0.0 and 4.0.1 the PST has a 2gb limit. In 4.0.2 (upcoming release) the 2gb limit is removed.

So, Are you going to limit in the forthcoming 4.0.2 release ? If so, for how much capacity?

the limitation will be based on whatever the underlying Unicode PST provider can do. From the KB files, MS recommends a max of 20GB for the Unicode PST provider, though it can grow to be some number of TB's.

Hi Sam,

does this mean that Outlook Connector syncronizes its file .zdb (on PC client) with the mail server with his whole content? That is for an e-mail account of 10 GB we would have a file .zdb of 10 GB?

I want in every way to avoid this, I want the content of the account of mail to reside just entirely on the server as in the case of MS Exchange.

Is this possible?

As of today our provider is synchronization based to provide offline capabilities. You would have to sync the entire 10gb.
I don't thing anyone has requested online mode support for the connector. You can file an enhancement request in bugzilla and vote for it.
