Fresh install of Zimbra - can't connect via https

This is the least of my worries actually.
All inbound mail is being blocked as well, but I'll start here.

Connecting to https://(my-zimbra's-ip-address) using Firefox throws an error:

Code: Select all

Secure Connection Failed

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

    The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
    Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Digging into the issues on the browser shows the following:
"Technical Details: The website [zimbra_ip_address] does not support encryption for the page you are viewing."

This seems absurdly basic.
Can anyone help me determine why the Zimbra server might not support encryption?

Note: An http connection is imply reset by the server which is expected.

I have installed Zimbra 8.7.1 on Ubuntu 16.04.1 and i think i have the same problem, installations finished and i cant access Zimbra via web.

first time i got this problem with Zimbra installations

It's really weird, did it happen on different Browsers?

Can you maybe try to install a let's encrypt ssl certificate?

Maybe an equipment between your Zimbra and your local desktop ?
Try by using ssh -L 9443:localhost:443 user@zimbra_ip
and in your browser : https://localhost:9443

There is no equipment between the client and zimbra server other than a switch.

Yes this occurs on all browsers.

Can anyone point me in to a manual regarding server certificate setup.

Further ingormation:

When attempting to connect via https, I dig into the information provided and it indicates that the new zimbra server "does not support encrypted connections"

What's curious is I CAN connect to the Admin Console via https.
So, given I have access to the admin console, how might I go about troubleshooting this?
