Upgrade from 8.8.10 OSE to 8.8.12 Standard

Hi to all,

I need to upgrade ver 8.8.10 to 8.8.12 Standard (with license).

Is possibile to do the upgrade directly ? Or do I need to upgrade before to the 8.8.12 OSE and after to the 8.8.12 Standard?

Hi,

What do you mean "standard"?

If you are talking about Network Editions, you should be able to do it. Although, I would not recommend it as I've seen enough people here in the forums, experiencing problems when moving from FOSS to NE via an in-place upgrade.

So my recommendation would be to deploy a new VM and install the zimbra you want in there. Use Zextras to migrate from the old server to the new server. This is quite easy to do and with very little risk (it's been over 8 years I do it like this and it works great every single time).

Hi,

I don't have much time to do the job. Customer go in panic mode if I stop mail server for several hours

I already done migration from 8.8.12 FOSS to 8.8.12 NE without problem. The question is on different number version.
