Yesterday, the mail server sent out a huge number of emails that got backed up by an application.
Since then, we started having problems connecting to the server.
This server is not a public one, it's used internally so has just a few accounts for us.
We can see the server is accepting the incoming emails but it's putting them in the queue and not letting us get to it.
I also see this in the logs which I'm not understanding since we are in fact able to connect to the server.
Mar 26 14:01:18 mx postfix/lmtp[12711]: C7FBAAE7EE: to=<lyp@xxxx.xxx>, relay=none, delay=677, delays=550/0.07/127/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to mx.domain.com[x.x.x.x]:7025: Connection timed out)
We are able to connect using the web browser and the zimbra desktop but it just won't give us our email. Even if I resend from the queue, it's not letting us get it.
I checked and all of the accounts have correct passwords and are active.
What's going on?
SOLVED: Zimbra won't release queued emails
Re: SOLVED: Zimbra won't release queued emails
No idea why it would just change as it was working fine but I had to do the following to get it back on track;
zmprov mcf zimbraMtaLmtpHostLookup native
zmmtactl restart
zmprov mcf zimbraMtaLmtpHostLookup native
zmmtactl restart
