I will do again one more time.
Just asking can be Zimbra 10 installed on rockylinux 9?
Please show the commands you run.

For zimbra 9.0.0_P<latest> you should be running something like

./build_script.sh --init
./build_script.sh --version 9 --clean

where the --init option should only be run once to download prerequisites.

Zimbra 10 does not support Rocky 9. You will have to wait for zimbra 10.1 for Rocky 9 support, I believe.

I have installed Zimbra 10 all over again on the new freshly installed rockylinux 8.
First zimbra doesn't start when server boot I need to manually start zimbra.

But when I try to login as a user at mail.mydomain.coim
I get this error.
I search in log files but really don't see anything relevant.
When I put in username and password I get this.

The requested URL was not found on this server.
Please try again later.

Error 404

I believe it has long been the case that zimbra does not auto-start. I think there are solutions on the forum for that.

What server name did you use when installing zimbra? cat /etc/hosts
Whatever server FQDN you have in there is the URL you should use when logging in.

If you want your URL to be different, I believe you can specify a virtual host for the domain in the Admin Console -> Home -> Manage -> <Domain name> -> Virtual Hosts

Zimbra is still using the legacy zimbra start script that is installed in /etc/init.d/ so perhaps you didn't do this:

Code: Select all

# dnf --enablerepo=devel install initscripts
You can find the zimbra start script here: /opt/zimbra/libexec/zimbra

Double check if /etc/init.d/zimbra exists ... Other option is to build yourself a proper systemd startup script. Another option is to start it in rc.local and have systemd manage it. Whatever is easier.

Ref: https://rockylinux.pkgs.org/8/rockylinu ... 4.rpm.html
Ref: https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-en ... ux-system/

The entire /etc/init.d/zimbra start up logic and installation can be found here on your src tree you compiled.

Code: Select all

% cat zm-build/rpmconf/Spec/Scripts/zimbra-core.post

I found out why is not starting because port 443 is already taken by apache.
Now I am trying to change zimbra webmail port to 60443 but it doesn't work, I still get error.

Starting proxy...nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:443 failed (98: Address already in use)
nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:443 failed (98: Address already in use)
nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:443 failed (98: Address already in use)
nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:443 failed (98: Address already in use)
nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:443 failed (98: Address already in use)
nginx: [emerg] still could not bind()
failed.

I did this

new installation of Zimbra 10 on rockylinux and it is the same, zimbra doesn't start at boot and now ports are not conflicting.
