How to set the folder of the archive button?

Post by cirosantilli »

When I first hit the "Archive" button, it asked me for a mail folder to send to archived emails to and I selected the bad one. How to change it now? Zimbra 8.6.0_GA_1153

How to set the folder of the archive button?

Post by Gren Elliot »

In the main "Mail" tab in the bottom left hand corner, there is a "Zimlets" section. "Archive" should be listed there. If you click on that, it should open an "Archive Preferences" dialog. The top line is "Archive Folder: <link with name of current archive folder>".

If you click on the link, it opens up a "Choose folder" selector and you can select the new folder you want.

Realise this question is an old post... but it's the only thing I could find relating to the topic we have.

Currently using 8.8.15 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS - all users under the AJAX web interface.

The Archive Zimlet is enabled in CoS for Preferences, but when clicked under Preferences, we don't get the option to select or change the target folder.

If user has previously selected a folder (on first use?) we cannot change it afterwards.

Any guidance as to how to admin this feature properly?

we have automatical provisioning of our users, and we can set for them every setting by CLI, but not the "Archive folder" for the Archive zimlet. Searching help to solve that.
