Excuse me, As a Zimbra user, I was wondering whether there was a way to link my Zimbra and Google contacts. I would like to keep my contacts in sync with Zimbra and Gmail as I use them for various reasons. Every time I add or edit a contact on either platform, I would like not have to export and import them by hand.
Could Zimbra and Google contacts be synced automatically, or at least with a press of a button? Though I am not a user of Outlook, I am aware that Zimbra offers a connector that can sync contacts between Zimbra and Outlook. I am aware that Zimbra Mobile allows users to sync their contacts between Zimbra and mobile devices, but I would like not to utilize my phone as an intermediary between Zimbra and Google.
I need a solution that is compatible with the most recent versions of Google and Zimbra, and it needs to be simple, quick, and dependable. On my end, I have Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Zimbra 9.0.0.
Am I the only one who needs this solved?

You're definitely not the only one facing this issue, I’ve been exploring this too.
Currently, Zimbra doesn't offer native two-way sync with Google Contacts via the web interface, and sadly there's no built-in connector (like the Outlook one) that syncs directly with Gmail/Google Workspace.
A few options I’ve tested:
1. The CardDAV protocol can sometimes work with Zimbra and Google, but it’s not always reliable or supported natively in all versions.
2. Some users use third-party sync tools or middleware (like DAVx⁵, GO Contact Sync Mod, etc.), but they typically require a desktop or mobile device in the middle — which you’ve said you’d prefer to avoid.
3. There’s also the option of using Google Contacts API + Zimbra REST API to build a custom sync script, but that’s more for advanced users or dev teams.
It’s surprising Zimbra hasn’t offered a native integration yet, especially for business users who often work across both platforms. I’d be really interested if anyone here has a stable one-click or automatic sync setup working.
Hopefully, Zimbra 10 or a newer Zimlet might address this gap.
