Invalid server. Please try again

Post by lucio.virzi »

Hi all, I'm working on this release:

I've enabled the mobile sync settings:

But when I launch the Zimbra app on Android, using the server address, I receive an error

Invalid server. Please try again

What do you suggest?
Thanks

I don't think the Zimbra app on mobile uses ActiveSync (what you enabled in the AdminUI).
ActiveSync is to be used with the integrated mail application of your phone or an EAS compatible app (Outlook, Nine).

I think Zimbra app is just a wrapper for a web browser that connects to your server.

Ah ok, thanks! As like the Desktop Client, correct?

I was wondering why I received this error:

Nope, "Zimbra Desktop" is a full client (with local mail sync).

I don't know nowadays but years ago it was some kind of a full mini Zimbra server on your computer.
With its database, indexing, storage and web servers. With an integrated web client connecting to it.
But it's not "just" a web client.
