Approving/Quarantining new ActiveSync devices in V10?

Post by peter-alexander »

Hi! With the loss of the NG modules in ZCS v10+, is it possible to somewhat replicate the zxsuite abq mechanism? I'd like to be able to have new ActiveSync devices be quarantined until an administrator can confirm with users' they indeed tried to enroll a new device before approving said device.

Despite ZCS 10 still listing mobile device ABQ amongst it's features, it doesn't seem to achieve what it previously did anymore. Reading the administrator's guide, as well as from the responses I got from support, it seems you can only create rules on the device type (such as iPhone or Android), and I was unable to get a clear answer with regards to what would happen to our current ActiveSync devices since ABQ got disabled during the upgrade to v10 (i.e., would existing mobile devices get blocked or quarantined, or remain active?), and how would you approve a quarantined device? (not mentioned in admin guide, and support was unable to provide a solution to this question).

Any tips or advice would be appreciated!
