[Public Beta] Zimbra Nextcloud Connector 3.0.2 – Modern UI, file browsing, multi-account and ONLYOFFICE/Euro-Office

Post by franck4425 »

Hello everyone,

I am happy to share the first public beta of a new independent open-source project:

Zimbra Nextcloud Connector

Version: 3.0.2 Public Beta 1
Tag: v3.0.2-beta.1

The goal of this project is to provide a more complete Nextcloud integration directly inside the Zimbra Modern UI.

The connector currently provides:

• Browse Nextcloud files and folders directly from Zimbra Modern UI
• Upload and manage files
• Preview images, audio and video files
• Create public read-only links
• Insert Cloud files and links directly into email messages
• Manage multiple Nextcloud account profiles
• Open and edit office documents directly from Zimbra
• Collaborative document editing through ONLYOFFICE or Euro-Office
• Per-user Nextcloud credentials stored through the connector
• Modern UI integration

Tested environment:

• Zimbra 10.1.20.GA.4633.UBUNTU18_64 NETWORK edition
• Nextcloud 33.0.5
• Nextcloud ONLYOFFICE connector 10.0.0
• Euro-Office Document Server 9.3.3-dev.1
• Google Chrome 150 on Windows

This is currently a Public Beta.

Some scenarios are not yet considered fully validated, including:

• Multiple simultaneous Nextcloud servers
• Multiple Document Servers
• Multi-mailbox / failover environments
• Firefox, Safari and mobile browsers
• Very large transfers and high concurrency
• Independent security audit

The project is available on GitHub:

Public Beta release:

https://github.com/franckchalon/zimbra- ... 0.2-beta.1

The repository contains:

• Full source code
• Installation package
• SHA256 checksum
• Documentation
• Installation and troubleshooting scripts
• Screenshots
• Security policy
• Testing information

The project is licensed under the BSD 3-Clause License.

This is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially supported by Zimbra.

The project was developed with the assistance of AI tools for code generation, debugging, documentation, translations and project structuring.

Feedback, testing reports, bug reports and contributions are very welcome.

If anyone tests it on another Zimbra / Nextcloud / ONLYOFFICE environment, I would especially appreciate feedback about compatibility.

Thank you!
