Deleting a Key on zmlocalconfig

Postby AndresTarallo » Tue Aug 12, 2014 12:50 pm

Hi!!!!
By mistake I added a key to zmlocalconfig, I created an entry postfix_virtual_alias_maps =, with a white space extra between the label and equal sign.
I managed to leave it empty (zmlocalconfig -u) but havent found a way to delete it. I need to delete it because when I run other commands (like zmcontrol or zmprov) y get this error message:
/opt/zimbra/bin/zmshutil: line 39: export: `=': not a valid identifier
Your help is appreciated. thanks
Andrés

Deleting a Key on zmlocalconfig

I found the solution to this. There's a file in /opt/zimbra/conf, named localconfig.xml. There are stored the variables loaded in XML format, I found the offending key and deleted from there.

It's strongly recommended to backup the file, prior editing it.
