IRONMAIDEN 8.0.3 ported to FreeBSD

Post by Ishtar »

After much googling and testing, I ended up uninstalling all the zimbra-* packages then pkgdb -Ff worked ;)
And no worries if it takes a bit of time, it's not like it's a critical deployment and I understand the work involved.
I'll try it again in a few days on another system, see how it goes and report back. Thanks again!

IRONMAIDEN 8.0.3 ported to FreeBSD

Post by noan »

Hi Solko, thanks for your great port. Been using it for almost 2 years.
We are looking to upgrade to Ironmaiden from freebsd 8.2/helix combo. Any hints on doing this?

IRONMAIDEN 8.0.3 ported to FreeBSD

Post by Ary Firman »

Zimbra 8.0.4 r5718 install report:
I have been testing zimbra 8.0.4 packages on Freebsd 9.1 and it has worked fine. Zimbra IPV6 is running smoothly by using:

# zmprov ms mail.mydomain.com zimbraIPMode both

# libexec/zmiptool

# zmcontrol restart

(Zimbra install without IPV6, then activate it later after zimbra successfully installed)----(zimbra behind NAT router)
But there are problem on OpenDKIM 2.8.0. It run well on IPV4 & mail is signed correctly but suddenly the service has stop after execute above command (other services not affected)

zimbra.log:

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27664]: exited with status 69, restarting

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27685]: OpenDKIM Filter: unknown socket type inet6

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27685]: OpenDKIM Filter: Unable to create listening socket on conn inet6

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27685]: smfi_opensocket() failed

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27664]: exited with status 69, restarting

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27686]: maximum restart count exceeded

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27664]: exited with status 69, restarting

Jun 12 14:03:27 mail opendkim[27664]: maximum restart count exceeded
I found some clue on:

http://www.zimbra.com/forums/administra ... issue.html

Bug 79377 – IPv6 issues with amavis/opendkim/milter/postfix since 8.0.2
Probably error on opendkim with inet6 socket, and follow instruction above does not help.

Still find out on how to solve OpenDKIM with IPV6, i will post back here when I found solution. Any help, highly appreciated.
cheers,
Ary Firman

Found solution for Zimbra 8.0.4 r5718 IPV6 with OpenDKIM
Don’t know how to explain but I guess there is something strange on ipv6 connection between OpenDKIM and Postfix
I’m running Dual Stack via HE.NET and follow instruction from Sebastian Marching OpenDKIM bug in Zimbra Collaboration Server - Open-Source, Physik & Politik
/opt/zimbra/conf/opendkim.conf.in

changing "%%zimbraInetMode%%:8465@[%%zimbraLocalBindAddress%%]" to "inet:8465@[127.0.0.1]
Restart zimbra, and opendkim service running now; but mail is still deferred with status:
Content filter: scan:[::1]:10030

Size: 562

Reason: host ::1:[::1] said 451.4.7.1 service unavailable - try again later (in reply to mail command)
My /opt/zimbra/conf/opendkim-localnets.conf
192.168.1.0/24

127.0.0.0/8

[fe80:1::]/64

[2001:470:36:99e::]/64

[::1]/128

[fe80:8::]/64
Check /opt/zimbra/postfix/master.cf
smtp inet n - n - - smtpd

-o content_filter=scan:[::1]:10030

465 inet n - n - - smtpd

-o content_filter=scan:[::1]:10030

submission inet n - n - - smtpd

-o content_filter=scan:[::1]:10030

………….

[::1]:10030 inet n - n - - smtpd
So, change [::1] with 127.0.0.1 (in master.cf.in) to force postfix listen to ipv4 localhost
smtp inet n - n - - smtpd

-o content_filter=scan:127.0.0.1:10030

465 inet n - n - - smtpd

-o content_filter=scan:127.0.0.1:10030

(port 465 is legacy secure SMTP, no need to change unless you need it)

submission inet n - n - - smtpd

-o content_filter=scan:127.0.0.1:10030

…………

127.0.0.1:10030 inet n - n - - smtpd
Go to my laptop and disable IPV4, i can access ipv6 https webmail, try send email….and It works…..GMAIL server only show ipv6 mail server & my laptop IPV6 address on mail header with correct DKIM signature.
I haven’t installed zimbra with IPV6 only….yet, but I guess it should run as long as you still put 127.0.0.1 on /etc/hosts

IRONMAIDEN 8.0.3 ported to FreeBSD

Post by Ary Firman »

Great...finally did come out. I really appreciate your effort to ported zimbra 8 final release for FreeBSD....Thank You.
I have been upgraded Zimbra R5718 to Zimbra R5738, but it still need to make small changes on postfix content_filter (posted above). I did Fresh Install, I've also upgraded all dependency based on builddeps (perl, openjdk etc) but i've no luck.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge...
Maybe there is something glitch on my DNS settings,....and I do have to learn more about internal ports (8456,10024,10026,10030 etc), Zimbra user privilege (after install) on /opt/zimbra, or deal with Amavisd instead of not to enable OpenDKIM.
But hey.......it's still run with 127.0.0.1, and i'am trying to find out why ipv6 localhost packets did not routed between them.
Perhaps, i should install zimbra on linux and pay attention on all config file...
cheers,
