Inital Synch issue (7.1.2)

On Wednesday we upgraded to Zimbra 7.1.2 (Release 7.1.2_GA_3268.RHEL5_64_20110804120428 CentOS5_64 NETWORK edition.)
A customer tries now to Install the new ZCO on a few systems. But there are problems with the initial synch. It stops after some time with an error. After starting outlook again it goes on (in most cases) but stops again after a while.
When the inital synch is done (After some outlook restarts) it seems to run normaly. This can take a lot of restarts on a large account.

Has anybody seen something like this? We didn't tried to synch with the old version of ZCO until now.

With the old version of the ZCO (6.0.8_GA_2661_6.0.6058.8) there are no problems.

When you tried ZCO 6.0.8, and it worked, were you syncing against the 7.1.2 server? If so, then it sure seems like a server issue.
But another thing you can try in ZCO 7.1.2 just to see is to use a different formatter. You can go into the registry and change (or add) ZipLevel:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareIMBRA
Create or edit a REG_DWORD value: ZipLevel
Set it to something like 99, so it will use the old formatter.
Try the initial sync again and see if that helps. At least that would tell us where the bug is.

Has this issue been resolved? We encountered exactly the same error message. It happens in Zimbra Desktop too. Is there any patch we can perform on the server to work around the issue?

How about some details of what the exact problem is?

Did anyone get this solved? We started to see this same error on some accounts on multiple single servers after we upgraded from 7.1.0 to 7.2.1. After the initial sync is done (which takes a lot of time) the accounts seem normal, and it only seem to happend to old accounts which needs a initial sync because of a new outlook profile etc.

We have just been experiencing this problem with 8.0.5 and 8.0.6 Outlook connector. Have logged a ticket with Zimbra support, and will try to post any relevant news.
