The time in the logs(audit.log end webmail.log) will be 1 hour behind

Post by slava_ua »

Good afternoon!

After the transition to daylight saving time, in almost all logs of the Zimbra server, the time is fixed correctly, but in "audit.log and webmail.log" the time falls by 1 hour
Since I use fail2ban to block bad IPs, when the service fail2ban scans log files , the system time and log time are different and the IPs are not added to the ban

Thank you

I'd suggest you run "timedatectl" first and then check the output against this article: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Time_Zones_in_ZCS - it seems like you server and ZCS install are using different timezones. FWIW, I use UTC for all my servers including Zimbra.
