Unable to upload p7m attachments

Hello,

I have recently upgraded my installation from 8.8GA to 10.0.0_GA_0001 (build 20230811135209). It's a small installation with ~50 mailboxes.

Everything seems to work normally, except that I am unable to add a particular file format (.pdf.p7m) as an attachment to an email.

This appears to be occurring only when the attachment is bigger than 2MB (size limit is 25MB for attachments).

I cannot find any useful information in logs. I see the upload starts and finishes (in the webapp logs) but it disappears as soon as it reached 100%. It is impossible to add the attachment from the briefcase too.

It looks like a problem is occurring while parsing the attachment, but still I can't find useful information in the logs.
Maybe I could clone the environment (it's a prod environment) and enable debug logging to see if that produces some useful information?

Has anyone any suggestion?

Many thanks,
Jack from Ireland

Hello,

Is this issue only with .p7m attachment? I see you also mentioned .pdf attachment type.
p7m is extension for S/MIME and will be sent with signed/encrypted email. Can you provide information on how are you creating .p7m attachment and which client you are using to send email with .p7m attachment.

Hi, apologies for the late reply - I thought my message was not approved in the forum.

The only attachments that do not work as .pdf.p7m - it's a digitally signed pdf file with the extension ".pdf.p7m".

I will try disabling the option to restrict encrypted archives and see if that helps - maybe the file is seen as enc arch.

Jack

Hi, I still did not solve the issue.

I am attaching an example file to see if anyone else is able to reproduce the issue.

Since the forum does not allow attaching p7m files, here is a download link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IYbC96 ... sp=sharing
