Hello,
Getting issue below while upgrading from 10.1.7 to 10.1.9p1,even after this error zimbra working well after OS reboot.

Running mysql_upgrade...done.
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/data/tmp/mysql/mysql.sock' (111 "Connection refused")

Do you mean:

instead?

In my Zimbra Test VM the file contents is:

and after running your command it would become:

which does not seem to be right.

The file should contain only 10.1.25-MariaDB, which is the current MariaDB version.

Wouldn't you have a VM snapshot prior to that workaround being applied where you can share with us the contents of /opt/zimbra/db/data/mysql_upgrade_info ?

I'm curious to know what's the value there.

Adrian it's interesting,there was no any file like /opt/zimbra/db/data/mysql_upgrade_info

in my case echo "10.1.25-MariaDB" >> /opt/zimbra/db/data/mysql_upgrade_info just created file.

So... umashankar.avagadda . Has this properly fixed in the Zimbra codebase (maybe in some development branch) ? I don't see anything relevant in zm-build.

If that's not the case... what would be the rough draft on fixing that?
I mean,... I know that adding this strings helps but I'm not sure it needs to be hardcoded always, specially, if it might generate errors when upgrading from old Zimbra versions with old Mysql versions (not tested, just speculation), or in the future when never Mariadb versions (higher than the 10.1.25 one) are the default.

A bit late, but I updated 10.1.7 to 10.1.9 on Ubuntu 22.04 using 'zcs-10.1.9_GA_4200001.UBUNTU22_64.20250721164603.tgz', and it worked. This includes the embargoed patches, as I understand it.

I had waited with updating the zimbra* packages from the apt repo because of the known problem that it installs an Nginx that doesn't work, but doing it all at the same time worked.
