I have updated the "official KB page" with a link to Adrian's wiki page.

Re: Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 upgrade with Maldua's Zimbra FOSS Builds
Hello guys.
Current OS version: Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
Current Zimbra version: Release 10.1.11.GA.4633.UBUNTU20_64 NETWORK edition
Target OS version: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Target Zimbra version: Release 10.1.11.GA.4633.UBUNTU20_64 NETWORK edition
Hi, I’m trying to upgrade the OS from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 while keeping Zimbra as shown above (10.1.11). I’m following the manual described here: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/AGibanelBt ... tu-Upgrade
I’m confused about the step “Upgrade to same installed version.” Currently, I have Zimbra 10.1.11 installed. However, the Zimbra package (tgz) available for download is 10.1.0, which is an earlier release. Installing that version leads to dependency problems. My questions are: What should I do in this situation? Is there a safe in-place upgrade scenario for moving from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 with Zimbra 10.1.11? Or should I instead prepare a new server with Ubuntu 22.04 and install the same Zimbra release there, then migrate?
Thanks in advance for clarification.

If you have the NETWORK edition you should not be downloading FOSS builds to upgrade your server(s)adamdudzik wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 12:11 pm Hello guys.

Yes, I know, I'm looking for an analogy.

Regarding in-place upgrades in Ubuntu regarding NE you should expect the 'Upgrade to same installed version' step to somewhat fail with the message: Unable to download extra packages from repository. Proceeding without this....adamdudzik wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 12:11 pm Hello guys.

The way of fixing this is running:
Code: Select all
apt-get install -fThen install the same version a second time and you should be good.
This probably always happens in ZCS NE 10.1.x. If I see a nice way of updating the wiki pages (that does not make it too much complex) I'll do it one of these days. Feedback on how to organize this is appreciated.
Note: When I wrote the wiki I hadn't tested the procdure in ZCS NE and I assumed it should work as in ZCS OSE/FOSS did all of those years without an issue. You can see I added the zmacl commands too so that ZCS NE is properly supported but, now, there's this package downgrade issue, yes, that we need to document properly.

Re: Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 upgrade with Maldua's Zimbra FOSS Builds
Hello Team,
We are currently using Zimbra version 8.8.15 foss on CentOS 7.9, and now we want to migrate to Zimbra 10.1.10 foss i have installed using source code on either Ubuntu 24 or Debian 12. I couldn’t find any migration steps for the latest version, but I did find documentation for an older version. Can we follow the same steps for this migration? Please find the link to the older migration guide. It is like migrating zimbra 8.8.15 foss on centos 7.9 to zimbra 10.1.10 foss on ubuntu or debian latest OS

Thanks in advance!
